TheWest Aberdeenshire and Kincardine Constituency covers an area of approximately 1350 square miles and is set in the Grampians stretching from Alford in the Howe of Alford in the North and Westhill towards Aberdeen to Laurencekirk in the Howe of The Mearns to the South and from Ben Macdui in the Cairngorm Mountains and The Forest of Mar in the West to the Kincardine coastal towns of Portlethen, Stonehaven, Inverbervie and on to St Cyrus in the East including the historical fishing communities of Gourdon and Johnshaven. The constituency is bisected by Royal Deeside and the townships of Banchory, Aboyne, Ballater and Braemar.
